Apple is riding the Star Wars hype train as it released a new Star Wars themed radio station to its streaming music service, Apple Music. Appearing under the ‘Featured’ section, the station includes tracks that are selected from the soundtracks of the films, including the iconic ones such as the theme music and the ‘Imperial March.’ Some of these tracks even contain interruptions by various sound effects, including Vader’s breath or R2-D2’s bleeps.
The radio station is currently available in Apple Music on PC and Mac, as well as mobile devices and Apple TV. There was an indication that it may be exclusive to certain countries, as some international users reported that they noticed the station did not appear in their own countries.
In addition to the Star Wars radio station, Apple Music is offering a pre-order for the soundtrack of Star Wars’ new entry, ‘The Force Awakens’ in iTunes, at the price of $11.99 (RM 52.10). It is also selling a HD bundle of the Star Wars digital movies for the limited price of $89.99 (RM 390.37)
If you are wondering whether the Star Wars radio station is available in Malaysia, then you are in luck. You just have to use the search bar to find the station since it doesn’t appear in the ‘Featured’ section of Malaysia’s Apple Music too.
