It seems like LG couldn’t wait until CES 2016 to announce its latest product. Set to be showcased at the upcoming tech event next month, the LG Gram 15 is touted as the world’s lightest 15-inch laptop by the company. It also seems to sport a near bezel-less display as well; akin to the Dell XPS 13 and 15.
Weighing a mere 980g, the LG Gram 15 is truly a lightweight machine. Thanks to its minimal bezel size, LG claims that the Gram is “barely larger than a conventional 14-inch laptop.” Other than that, despite weighing less than 1kg, this compact laptop supposedly has up to seven hours of battery life. Seeing how the Gram 15 is only 16mm thick, this battery life claim is especially impressive.
As usual of many Windows laptops nowadays, the LG Gram 15 will be powered by the latest sixth generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processor; it will also be running on Windows 10 out of the box, which is a given. Unfortunately, these are all the specifications that LG has confirmed. Other information such as display resolution, RAM capacity and storage options of the Gram 15 will only be revealed at CES 2016, it seems.
Regardless, the LG Gram 15 is an interesting laptop. It’s a lightweight and sleek-looking machine which seems to be pretty compact, thanks to its minimal bezel size. We should learn more about LG’s latest laptop once CES 2016 is here.
