Couldn’t get tickets to the premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens? Scared of unsuspecting spoilers on the Internet? Well, there is now a Google Chrome extension to remedy that anxiety: stay away from Star Wars spoilers with “Force Block”.
Force Block is an extension made for Google Chrome, and it will block out all possible Star Wars-related spoilers, saving the suspense for when you actually get to watch the movie. Whenever the user is surfing the Internet, the extension will monitor the webpage’s content to detect for Star Wars related news or spoilers.
When it does detect one, it blocks off entry into the website and a splash page will warn the user before proceeding. The user can then choose to stay away from the website, or continue browsing. Other than that, users can also choose to not block that specific page in the future.
The Google Chrome extension only proves useful if you haven’t watched the movie. Once you have, it’s best to remove the extension to prevent it from blocking most websites you visit – considering Star Wars is everywhere on the Internet right now.
