As per our previous report, Microsoft has officially launched its brand new Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL smartphones in Malaysia. First announced to the world during the company’s Windows 10 Devices event in New York back in October, both are the first flagship smartphones that come standard with Windows 10.
Prior to their launch today though, Microsoft has quietly kicked off the pre-order for both devices over at its online store in Lazada Malaysia in which the first 100 customers will receive Microsoft Display Dock for free. Valued at RM 309, this particular dock enables users to utilize the Continuum feature on either of these phones which provides PC-like experience for users.
In terms of pricing, the Lumia 950 is available for RM 2,699 while the higher-end Lumia 950 XL goes for RM 2,999. For those who prefer to purchase them at physical stores instead, both smartphones will be released to select Microsoft Authorized Resellers and participating Microsoft Mobile Resellers starting from 18 December.
At the same time, Microsoft has also announced that these phones will also be made available for DiGi‘s SmartPlan for Business customers. Specifically, enterprise customers are able to obtain either of the new smartphones for free under DiGi SmartPlan 238 for Business plan. Unfortunately, the telco is not planning to do so for general consumers.
In general, Microsoft is really riding on the productivity features within these two flagship Windows smartphones in order to attract enterprise customers to Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL while targeting the hardcore Windows fans and tech savvy crowd at the same time.
