Gaming chair company Secretlab has announced that it is now shipping to 13 cities across Malaysia. The relatively new company has been operating since May, and says that it intends to bring cost effective gaming chairs to gamers. That being said, only one model of gaming chair is available in the country at the moment.
Secretlab is introducing its most premium product, the Omega Stealth, to test the market in Malaysia. Should gamers respond positively, the company may find a way to bring the rest of its lineup across the border.
“The biggest challenge for us right now is to reach out to customers in other countries without air-freighting(it’s too expensive), and without going through other distributors. We’ve now managed to come up with a creative logistics solution, and will be implementing this throughout the Asia region, starting with Malaysia which we’ve had tons of requests from.” said Ian Ang, managing director and co-founder of Secretlab.
At the moment, the Secretlab Omega Stealth will retail for US$349 (RM1470) and can be ordered from the Secretlab website. The company states that it will take two to three days for the product to be shipped, although the time may be longer if there are a lot of orders. There will also be a US$15 shipping fee involved (RM64)
We also had the opportunity to speak with the founders of Secretlab, Alaric Choo and Ian Ang, to find out what drives two people to go from playing video games to making gaming chairs.
