The Malaysia Cyber Games will be happening this coming weekend on the 12th and 13th of December 2015. With Astro’s dedication to broadcast e-sports events to its viewers, the satellite pay TV company will be showing MCG on Astro Super Sport Plus Channel 808 and Astro on the Go.
The Malaysia Cyber Games will be the first local e-sport event to ever be broadcasted on live TV. Everyone can tune in to the Dota 2 tournament for free via Astro on the Go using the ‘Live TV’ tab. Viewers can access Astro on the Go through the web browser or via the AOTG app which is available on both iOS and Android.
The Malaysia Cyber Games will be held at Stadium Negara from the 11th to 13th of December 2015. The main agenda of the tournament is to recruit the country’s very own Dota 2 team called ‘Team Taring’. 64 teams will be battling it out for their share of the RM125,000 prize from the total prize pool of RM300,000.
Those interested can purchase tickets to attend the event. For those who prefer to stay at home, they can watch the Malaysian Cyber Games Dota 2 Championships right from their sofa. Astro is definitely serious about e-sports and it’s keeping a good track record for bringing more competitive gaming content to Malaysian viewers.
