It is rather odd but seems that there have been plenty of price leaks this month. After BlackBerry Priv and Huawei Nexus 6P, the same case happened to Microsoft Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL. Revealed on Lazada Malaysia ahead of their upcoming launch next week, the listing on the online store did mention something extra though.
According to all four listings (two for each model due to their colourways), the first 50 customers who pre-order the new Windows 10 flagship smartphones from Lazada will receive Microsoft Display Dock which enables them to take advantage of the Continuum feature within these phones easily. The dock itself apparently will cost RM 309 which is rather weird though given its price tag of USD 99 (about RM 417) in United States.
At the same time, the listing stated that Lumia 950 is priced at RM 2,700 while the higher end Lumia 950 XL goes for RM 3,000. As a comparison, the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL is priced at USD 549 (about RM 2,309) and USD 649 (about RM 2,729) respectively in United States.
Since all these listing belongs to the Microsoft Malaysia official online store which begun its operation on Lazada since few months ago, these listing seemed to be genuine despite the lack of official announcement from Microsoft Malaysia itself and some of the photos that were shown on these listing are rather wrong.
Well then, let’s see how accurate these info going to be once the official launch of Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL takes place on 15 December. For the meantime, do check out our hands on experience with the new Lumia 950 XL to learn more about the new flagship Windows 10 smartphone from Microsoft.
