Xiaomi recently announced the Mi Pad 2, which has a variant that will run on Windows 10. Interestingly, some users decided to test its gaming performance, and found that it could run Counter-Strike, as well as League of Legends (almost) perfectly well.
A Weibo user posted two videos of him playing Counter-Strike 1.6 and League of Legends on the Windows 10 version of the Mi Pad 2. The gameplay is pretty smooth with no drastic screen freezing, and that’s pretty impressive for a tablet.
Based on the videos above, the Weibo user does not use anything special to boost the Mi Pad 2’s performance. Just a USB hub connected to the Mi Pad 2 (to plug in a keyboard and mouse), and the tablet runs the two games pretty seamlessly. Of course, the games aren’t exactly the most demanding (CS 1.6 is a pretty old game), but this is a tablet that costs 1,299 Yuan (about RM860), which says a lot about the hardware running inside it.
The Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 features a 7.9-inch 2,048 x 1,536 IPS LCD screen. It runs on a quad-core 2.2GHz Intel Atom X5-Z8500 paired with 2GB of RAM. On the front, the tablet has a 5MP camera, and round the back, you’ll find an 8MP shooter. Connectivity wise, the Mi Pad 2 supports Bluetooth 4.1 and dual-band ac Wi-Fi. Powering the device is a 6,190mAh battery which also supports fast charging.
