After several reports of the iPad Pro’s screen freeze issue, Apple has now recognized the problem and says that it is working on a fix for the problem. In the mean time, it has released a temporary “manual” fix for the issue.
There has been several Apple users posting on the Apple Support Communities forums with the same problem. Some users reported that even after a restart, the problem would reappear. Doing a factory reset to the tablet makes no difference too.
There are unofficial fixes that was discovered by some users on the Apple Support Communities forums. The fixes include: enabling Siri, disabling the iCloud backup, turning on Do Not Disturb mode and disabling automatic diagnostic feedback to Apple. Apple however has released a temporary fix to the issue which can be done by a ‘force restart’. To do this, one has to press and hold both the home button and the sleep/wake button for ten seconds until the Apple logo appears.
There are no words on when Apple is releasing a permanent fix for this issue. By the looks of it, this could just be a software problem which will most probably be fixed in the next iOS update. As for now, iPad Pro users would have to try the manual fixes stated above.
