Just yesterday, Xiaomi posted a teaser image of the Redmi Note 2 Pro ahead of its 24th November unveiling. Now, the rapidly growing startup has revealed that there will be more than one product announced at the upcoming event. Looking at the latest teaser, it seems like the successor to the original Mi Pad is about to be revealed.
Based on the image of the device above, it’s highly likely to be a tablet; it also looks akin to the first Mi Pad, right down to the camera and button positions. On top of that, unlike its predecessor (assuming this is indeed the Mi Pad 2), the new Mi Pad seems to boast a metal chassis, which should give it a very premium look and feel. It also appears to be a pretty thin tablet.
Unlike many of Xiaomi’s other products – which often get leaked before their official announcements, not much is known about the new Mi Pad. Well, other than its supposed appearance on Geekbench, which revealed that it is powered by an Intel X5-Z8500 quad-core processor clocked at 2.24GHz. Of course, as this is unofficial information, it should be taken with a grain of salt.
Seeing how Xiaomi will be revealing both the new Mi Pad and Redmi Note 2 Pro next week, there’s a chance that it will also unveil the much anticipated Mi 5. We’ll just have to wait and see what Xiaomi has in store for us come 24th November.
