Ahead of the company’s new device unveiling on the 24th of November next week, the president of Xiaomi, Lin Bin, has posted an early teaser of the product in question. Based on the teaser image, it’s very likely to be the Redmi Note 2 Pro.
The device pictured above looks very similar to leaked images of the Redmi Note 2 Pro, which came from its TENAA certification. The image clearly shows the same rear fingerprint sensor and metal body that the Redmi Note 2 Pro’s certification has revealed. Other than that, the Pro variant seems to have a dual-tone LED flash as well.
Aside from these differences, the Pro variant of the Redmi Note 2 isn’t all that different from the standard model. It is still packing a 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080 display, a MediaTek Helio X10 2.0GHz octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (expandable with a microSD card), 13MP rear and 5MP front-facing cameras, as well as LTE connectivity.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2. See the similarity?
Chances are, Xiaomi’s crowdfunded device that was announced earlier this month is the Redmi Note 2 Pro, which means it could be priced around 1,000 Chinese yuan (about RM680). The final retail price and availability of this device shoule be unveiled by Xiaomi next week on the 24th of November.
