If the Withings Activité Pop did not catch your fancy, the new Activité Steel might pique your interest. Retailing at only US$169 (about RM740), it is more affordable than the original Activité, which goes for US$450 (approximately RM1,965).
Aesthetically, the Activité Steel appears to be a very classy and sleek-looking wristwatch. Much like the nevo and BOLDR Voyage, however, it is actually a hybrid smartwatch that features several smartwatch-esque functionalities without looking like one, something that many smartwatches in the market struggle with.
While the Activité Steel is not a Swiss made watch like the more expensive Activité, the former does bear a striking resemblance to it. The Activité Steel has a stainless steel case (likes its name suggests), chrome hands, a silicone strap, and a tachymeter-inspired sub-dial that “appears to be taken directly from a high performance sports car,” Withings wrote.
As for features, the Activité Steel can track your steps, sleep, and even automatically detect certain activities such as swimming and running. According to Withings, the Steel is also water-resistant up to 50 metres and has a battery – a standard one for watches – that can last up to eight months, which is pretty impressive. Both Android and iOS users can pair the Steel to their devices.
The Withings Activité Steel can only be ordered from the company’s website here, which does not ship to Malaysia, unfortunately. That being said, parallel importers will almost definitely have the Steel available here one way or another.
