Google’s mobile search app just got better. It can now handle complex questions according to Google. The app is now better at understanding multi-layered questions which previously was not possible. This includes better understanding of superlatives, point of time and complex combination of questions.
Google claims that this is done by breaking down a question to really understand what it wants. After breaking down a particular question, Google then uses their Knowledge graph – Google’s collection of facts about people and places and how they are all connected – to better answer questions.
In addition to this, Google has also formed a partnership with Facebook. Now, when users are searching for information on Google using an Android device, Google will display deep-links within it’s app to take users straight to Facebook’s public profiles, pages and posts.
Google admits however, that their app is not perfect and still learning. But at least Google’s mobile app is now better than it ever was before and your complex question may be answered better this time around.
