Digi has announced that starting today, Apple Music is covered by the company’s Music Freedom service. This gives music lovers who are subscribed to Digi, another music streaming app to choose from from the already long list of music apps available out there.
Digi’s Music Freedom is a service that allows Digi subscribers to stream music using third party music apps without any data charges. On top of that, subscribers will also get access to exclusive content, join contests, win tickets to exclusive events and even score themselves some freebies.
Note that the Digi Music Freedom app is not a music player. In fact, it is an app that lets subscribers buy a monthly music pass and have unlimited streaming access to music apps in collaboration with Digi. Each pass costs RM3 a month, and that covers a multitude of things from all data use of the service, ad removal as well as the downloading of songs for offline play. Not to mention, RM3 is definitely more affordable compared to the $3.99 (about RM17) a month subscription fee Apple Music is asking for.
If you’re on Digi and you have an active internet plan, just download the app either from the App Store or Play Store. Next, activate the Music Freedom service and you’re all set. With the addition of Apple Music to Digi’s Music Freedom service, I guess we’ll be hearing more of Drake and his Hotline Bling then, huh?
