The BlackBerry Priv has been released in some markets, and that means it is time to talk about the next Android powered BlackBerry device. Naturally, leaks for the supposed BlackBerry “Vienna” device have appeared online; and it looks like a Priv without the sliding function.
BlackBerry appears to be going back to a less classic design with the Vienna, although it is still incorporating a physical keyboard into the build. This leads to a very strange looking design that looks like a love-child between a Z10 and Q10. Aside from the render leak, there is little else known about the Vienna; aside from the fact that it runs on Android.
As far as we can tell, this could just be a fixed keyboard version of the BlackBerry Priv. It likely gives up some screen space for the keyboard, but that isn’t entirely unusual for BlackBerry. The design is a little disappointing for those hoping to get a more traditional looking device from the Canadian company, but this is still an unverified early render and there could be changes made as more information is revealed.
