The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is finally available for pre-order in Malaysia. Retailing at RM3,099, it is the most expensive device in Sony’s Xperia Z5 lineup; the 4K display definitely drives up the price.
Although the high price tag might discourage potential buyers from getting the Xperia Z5 Premium, Sony is throwing in a bunch of freebies with every purchase of its latest flagship smartphone. These include a Bluetooth wireless speaker, a layflat photobook, as well as limited edition Spectre T-shirt and bottle opener. All of these items are worth more than RM800, according to Sony.
On top of that, buyers can also opt to purchase the Sony SmartBand 2 or SmartWatch 3 along with the Xperia Z5 Premium for a lower price. These will cost RM499 and RM899 respectively instead of their original asking prices of RM599 and RM1,099. While these discounts are not much, it’ll be ideal for those who are looking to pair a wearable with the Z5 Premium – although there are many other alternatives.
As for specifications, the Z5 Premium is packed with an extremely sharp 5.5-inch 3840 x 2160 4K display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage (expandable with a microSD card up to 200GB), and a 3,430mAh battery that can supposedly provide up to two days of usage. Rounding out the Z5 Premium’s hardware are a 23MP Exmor RS rear camera, a 5MP Exmor R front-facing shooter, and water and dust resistance rating of IP68.
Pre-order for the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium will start from today until the 22nd of November on 11street. According to the e-commerce site, the device will start shipping on 30th November.
