Fallout 4 has recently been released. Its no surprise that it ended up breaking some records. Only a few hours after its official launch, Fallout 4 had set a new record on Steam for the highest concurrent players to ever play a game on the gaming distribution platform. This is still impressive however, considering that it took about three days for Grand Theft Auto V, the former record holder to achieve such a feat.
What’s even more impressive is that the number of simultaneous gamers playing Fallout 4 actually surpassed Counter Strike:Global Offensive and Dota 2. As of this writing, Fallout 4 still retains the number one spot on the Steam & Game stats page. The last Bethesda game to claim this record was Skyrim, which was subsequently surpassed by GTA V.
Despite having the highest number of concurrent players and a plethora of positive reviews on Steam and other game review sites, several users from across gaming platforms reported issues with the game from severe framerate drops on the PS4 to bad engine optimisation on the PC.
