After six months since the service went live, the offline viewing feature for iflix is now finally available for its subscribers. That being said though, the new feature is still under preview phase and comes with a number of restrictions at this moment.
First of all, the offline viewing option is only applicable for selected contents. Furthermore, this feature is only available through iflix’s Android app at the time being. However, it is quite easy to spot which contents that can be downloaded through this features as the download button is quite visible on such contents regardless of movies or TV series.
Subsequently, subscribers are able to choose from three different quality settings which correspond to the content’s file size. Once downloaded, the content would then be listed in the app’s My Download section and can be enjoyed with the need of Internet connection on the device for 7 days.
For now, iflix didn’t publically announced when they going to expand the offline viewing feature to its iOS app and web interface. We certainly hope to see it to be available soon enough on these platforms.
