As if having two new products were not enough, Xiaomi has also planned to launch yet another new product during its upcoming “Double 11” shopping festival. It comes in the form of a smartphone which will be revealed on 11 November 2015.
Even though the phone is still under wraps at the moment, Xiaomi has been taking orders for it via crowd funding method for CNY 1,000 (RM 683). While customers need to top up their funding if the actual price for the phone is more than CNY 1,000 but at the same time, Xiaomi will also refund the remaining balance if it costs less than that and customers can even choose to have full refund if they want to as long as it is done before the campaign is over.
At this moment, there is no clear indication on what this new smartphone will bring to the market. The latest rumors we have heard so far is the Redmi Note 2 Pro which might be feature a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and metal back cover, as shown above.
Rumors have also pointed out that the device might be carrying a 5.5-inch display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processors as well as up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. All in all, let’s see what Xiaomi will reveal on 11 November and more importantly, if the company has the plan to ship the new phone to markets outside of China in the near future.
