Sony has just announced a brand new pair of in-ear headset specifically made for the PlayStation 4 on its European PlayStation blog. Dubbed simply as “In-ear Stereo Headset for PS4,” these earphones do not come cheap.
With a retail price of 78 pound (about RM510) or 90 euro (approximately RM420), these are definitely not your run-of-the-mill in-ear headset. For that kind of money, these earphones do look really nice (and premium), especially the blue woven fabric cable.
Of course, considering this isn’t a very affordable pair of earphones, they do have a rather interesting feature called AudioShield. As its name implies, AudioShield is meant to “restrict unwanted sound from the environment around you,” according to Sony. Unfortunately, the company did not detail how exactly the feature works, although it did mention that AudioShield works up to 15 hours, thanks to the headset’s rechargeable battery.
Other specifications of the headphones include a microphone mute switch, volume controls, an in-line call button, and 13mm speakers that are able to “produce deep bass audio,” Sony claimed. Small, medium, and large interchangeable ear-tips will also be included with these headsets along with a pouch to store them when not in use.
As usual, there are no words yet if the In-ear Stereo Headset for PS4 will be arriving in Malaysia. That being said, considering how successful Sony’s PlayStation division is, these earphones should eventually make its way here.
