It seems like Huawei isn’t quite done yet with its smartphone portfolio for 2015. Recently, Huawei has posted the above teaser on its official Weibo page, a popular social networking site in China. With the number eight prominently featured on the teaser, there’s a good chance the Mate 8 will be unveiled on the 26th of November.
The teaser image roughly translates to “not just one breakthrough,” which could indicate that the Mate 8 will have several new features. We know that Huawei plans to power the device with a new Kirin processor, but beyond that, nothing has been officially revealed.

Of course, there are rumours regarding the specifications of the upcoming Mate 8. It is said to have a 6-inch pressure-sensitive display, 3GB and 4GB of RAM, along with two choices of internal storage: 32GB and 64GB. The Mate 8 could also feature a 20MP rear camera, an 8MP front-facing shooter, a metal construction, as well as a “large battery.”
However, as these specifications did not come from official sources, take it with a pinch of salt. It will be interesting to see how the Mate 8 compare to the Mate S, seeing how they are both part of the same lineup. If the above teaser is to be believed, the Mate 8 will be officially unveiled on the 26th of November 2015.
