HP has refreshed the ENVY 13 notebook with the new Intel Skylake processors, but that’s not all. The company has also upped the resolution of the display to an impressive QHD resolution. What is even more impressive is that it has managed to keep the price from rocketing skywards despite the improved panels.
There are two variants of the ENVY 13 notebook. The higher-end model utilises the latest Skylake 6th generation Intel Core i7-6500U processor paired with 8GB LDDR3 RAM. The 13.3-inch screen also got upgraded to a QHD+ IPS WLED-backlit screen. Other than that, it also has a 256GB M.2 SSD on board.
What’s different in the other variant of the ENVY 13 is that it runs on a 6th generation Intel Core i5-6200U processor. It has a lower amount of RAM and receives the same screen upgrade as the higher-end model. There is 4GB LDDR3 RAM onboard with a smaller 128GB of M.2 SSD storage.
The ENVY 13 notebooks also run on a 64-bit copy of Windows 10. On the exterior, both variants have three USB3.0 ports with one HDMI and one multi-format SD card reader. Powering the notebook is a 3-cell 45 Watt Hour Li-Ion Polymer battery. Not to mention, the new ENVY 13 measures 1.29cm and weighs 1.36KG.
Both laptops are now available on the HP Store with the higher-end model (d045TU) selling at RM4,699 while the lower-end model (d044TU) has a price tag of RM3,699. Prices are inclusive of GST with free shipping included.
