Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook has finally taken a stand on annoying Facebook game invites. The Chief Executive of Facebook Inc. spoke about it at an Indian Institue of Technology in Delhi.
During the gathering’s Q&A session, Zuckerberg has said that the company is coming up with a solution to handle these constant game invitation and notifications that annoy users to download games and play with their friends.
While these games might be annoying to the invitation’s recipients, it’s a method that would reward the sender or player. For example, “Candy Crush Saga” which is developed by King uses an energy-based system to play. Players get five lives and when that’s depleted, they can request for “lives” from other players. Hence, the game requests.
Mark Zuckerberg has now acknowledged that game features like these are outdated, and the Q&A at the gathering session in India only made him prioritise the matter. He has also asked the person in charge of Facebook’s developer platform to look into the problem even before the event started.
It is not sure how Facebook will solve this problem or when is the solution expected to be implemented. What do you think Facebook should do about these game notifications?
