If you’re a jaded MacBook user who is planning to make the switch to Windows, Microsoft has just the guide for you to make the whole process easier. More specifically, it’s a guide to transition to the new Surface Book.
The guide basically covers everything a Mac user has to know to start using the Surface Book effectively. These include useful keyboard shortcuts, how to perform a right-click in place of the two-finger tap on Macs, and how to put the Surface Book to sleep. Microsoft even “debunks” the belief that Macs do not get viruses.
While most of these tips generally apply to other Windows machines as well, Microsoft specifically mentioned the Surface Book in the guide. Evidently, the company really wants Mac users – those with a MacBook in particular – to get its new convertible. After all, when the Surface Book was announced, Microsoft made plenty of comparisons to the MacBook Pro, going as far to say that the former is twice as fast as the latter.
In terms of pricing, the Microsoft Surface Book has not received a Malaysian retail price yet, although it starts at US$1,499 (about RM6,410) in the US. The MacBook Pro, on the other hand, still costs less at RM5,899 for the base model despite the recent price hike. It will be interesting to see how much the Surface Book will be priced at once (or if) it reaches Malaysia.
