OnePlus will be holding an event on 29 October 2015 to launch their new smartphone, rumoured to be called the OnePlus X. The phone hasn’t made an official debut, but the pricing details of the phone has already been leaked in China.
In terms of design, the OnePlus X has a slim alloy body with 2.5D glass on the front with a glass back as well. It is rumoured that the OnePlus X will feature similar specifications to the company’s first flagship – the OnePlus One. Instead of a 5.5-inch screen, the OnePlus X has a 5-inch full HD screen. Under the hood, it might run on the 2.0GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor coupled with 3GB RAM.
When it comes to the phone’s storage capacity, there will be a 16GB variant and a 32GB variant, both with microSD expansion up to 128GB. Not only that, the phone will feature a 13MP rear camera with an 8MP front-facing camera.
Looking at the leaked poster, the OnePlus X looks very similar to an iPhone 6s. Even the wallpaper on the phone is reminiscent of the iPhone 6s’ fish wallpaper, except that OnePlus chose to use a Parrot for the wallpaper. The leaked poster also translates that the OnePlus X will be sold from the starting price of 1,699 Chinese yuan (about RM1,145).
