OPPO Malaysia isn’t slowing down as the company will be releasing the OPPO Neo 7, which is the successor to the mirror-backed Neo 5. Make no mistake, the Neo 7 is still an entry-level smartphone that sports a similar design to its predecessor.
The OPPO Neo 7 has a 5-inch screen with a resolution of 540 x 960. It will come in two variants, a 3G and a 4G model. Both variants run on a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor paired with 1GB RAM and 16GB of internal memory. In addition to that, it also supports microSD memory expansion of up to 32GB for the 3G version and 128GB for the 4G version. Rounding out the specifications of the Neo 7 are a 2,420mAh battery, an 8MP f/2.0 aperture rear camera with a 5MP front-facing shooter.
Unlike the 3G variant, the 4G model comes with an added feature where it shoots six ultra HD photos and stitches them together to create a large 24MP ultra HD image. The Neo 7 also runs on the company’s own ColorOS 2.1, which is based on Android Lollipop.
The OPPO Neo 7 comes in two colour options, which are white and black. The device will be making its way to Malaysian shores next month with a price tag of less than USD$200 (about RM850). For more information, head on to the device’s official webpage here.
