After Hyperlapse and Layout, comes a new app from the company called ‘Boomerang’. Essentially, it’s an app that turns your videos into looping videos of the exact moment something is happening. It’s kind of like a GIF, but in video format.
The app is fairly easy to use. All the user needs to do is press a button and the app will handle the rest. It takes a burst of 10 photos and puts them together into a one-second mini-video. It’s similar to a GIF, but it loops back and forth instead of from the front. The videos can immediately be shared to Facebook and Instagram, or later from the gallery or camera roll.

When using the rear camera, it’s called Boomerang, but upon switching to the front camera it’s called a Selfieboom. We’ve downloaded the app and tried it out for ourselves. However, everytime we press the shutter button, it takes the burst shots and later shows a “Something Went Wrong. Please Try Again.” error.
For those who would like to try it out for themselves, the app is now available on iOS as well as the Play Store.
