The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus has been officially launched in Malaysia, and Celcom has outlined its mobile plans and bundles for the latest Apple device. Interestingly, Celcom is now also offering the smartphone as an off contract purchase for Xpax Magic SIM users.
Celcom’s plans for the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus are reasonably similar to its offerings for the previous iPhone. FIRST Basic 85 offers the bare miniumum for a smartphone users with a monthly commitment of RM85 netting the subscriber 2GB of internet and an additional 2GB of Celcom WiFi. However, Celcom is also offering an additional complimentary 1GB of data for 12 months; which brings the monthly quota up to 3GB. This also applies to the other iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus plans from Celcom.
As before, Celcom is also allowing customers to trade in their older phones when upgrading to a new device. The value of the trade in will depend on the model of the smartphone, but it can go up to as much as RM1,900. While Celcom does not openly reveal how much it offers for each model, it is presumed that last year’s iPhone 6 will offer the greatest value.
Celcom users who would rather not leave their homes now have the option to buy the new iPhone from Celcom’s online store. Bluecube Online was only recently launched, and allows users to shop for Celcom phones and plans from the comfort from the comfort of their own homes.
Xpax Magic SIM users are not left out as Celcom is also allowing them to buy the new iPhone from its Blue Cube stores off contract. Naturally, the catch is that these customers will be paying full price for the device, meaning that the only difference here is that they are buying it from Celcom instead of someone else.
