Originally thought to be launching on the 12th of October in India, OnePlus has given an official launch date for the OnePlus X. Set to be unveiled on the 29th of October, the X will make its debut in London. Other than that, it has also been registered on TENAA, revealing its key specifications.
Interestingly, although OnePlus X’s FCC filing revealed that it has a 5.5-inch display, the TENAA certification shows that it has a 5-inch display instead, which is odd. In any case, TENAA shows that the OnePlus X has a 2.0GHz quad-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and surprisingly enough, a microSD card slot which supports cards up to 128GB – a first for a OnePlus device.
Rounding out the specifications of the OnePlus X are a 13MP rear camera, an 8MP front-facing shooter, and Android 5.1.1 out of the box, which is likely to be OxygenOS. Just like the OnePlus 2, the X seems to have a notification toggle on the left side of the device as well.
If we were to look at past TENAA certifications, the specifications listed are usually on point. In any case, all will be revealed when the OnePlus X is officially announced on the 29th of October in London.
