Alleged image of the OnePlus X/Mini.
If the OnePlus 2 doesn’t catch your fancy, you’d want to keep a close eye for an announcement from OnePlus later today. The young Chinese company is holding an event in India today, and chances are, it will be announcing a brand new device.
On top of that, a mysterious OnePlus device has been spotted on FCC with the model number “ONE E1005.” Interestingly, a similar device has appeared on SIRIM last week as well, although it has the model number “ONE E1003” instead. It’s very likely this is the much rumoured OnePlus X (or Mini).
In terms of specification, not much has been revealed yet. Through the FCC listing, however, some hardware have been confirmed. The unannounced OnePlus device features a 1.9GHz processor, LTE connectivity, and oddly enough, a micro USB port instead of a USB Type-C connector like the OnePlus 2. Judging by the image of the device above, it seems to have a metal frame and a glass – or plastic – back panel.
In any case, there’s a very good chance that OnePlus will officially announce the device later today in India. We’ll be sure to report on it once the device is unveiled. Seeing how it has appeared on SIRIM, Malaysia could be one of the first countries to receive the smartphone.
