HTC recently sent out an invitation to an event happening on 20 October 2015. While the invite did not mention anything about what the company has planned, it is believed that HTC will launched the much rumoured HTC One A9 with the codename HTC Aero.
The event will be happening on 20 October 2015 at 12:00pm ET (12am for Malaysians on 21 October 2015), and HTC will be live streaming it on its website at www.htc.com/launch.
The HTC One A9 is not even confirmed, but it has been leaked completely by serial leaker, @evleaks. Just last week, @evleaks revealed that the A9 will come in a very colourful range of options, including a carbon gray, which should be the theme of this invite.
Specifications wise, the A9 will come with a metal unibody with fingerprint sensor, a 5” Full HD Super AMOLED display, and will be powered by the new Snapdragon 617 processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. Other specs include 13MP rear camera, UltraPixel front camera, 2150mAh battery and of course, will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
Speaking of Android 6.0 Marshmallow, now that Google has unveiled that the update will be rolling out to Nexus devices starting next week, which devices will be getting the update next? HTC has unveiled the list of devices that will be getting Android 6.0 update. The HTC One M9 and HTC One M8 will be the firsts to get it, by the “beginning end of 2015”.
