Since these products already appeared in SIRIM’s database, it is usually only a matter of time before they are unveiled to Malaysian consumers. In the case of ASUS ZenPad 8.0, the tablet is apparently available in our shores today according to ASUS Malaysia‘s authorized distributor, Dynamics Distribution.
The confirmation seems to be a little bit contradictive though as ASUS Malaysia has stated in a reply on its Facebook page that ZenPad 8.0 will most likely to be available in our market next week instead. Interestingly though, the same reply also pointed that ZenPad 10 will be making its way to Malaysia next week too although Dynamics Distribution has yet to make any reference to the 10-inch tablet at the time this article is published.
Going back to ZenPad 8.0, Dynamics Distribution somehow didn’t mention anything regarding its pricing. That being said, the tablet is now already available at DirectD stores for RM 829 which comes together with a free Zen Case and 32GB microSD card. For those who wondering, the DirectD set is an official Malaysian set that is covered with 1-year warranty by ASUS Malaysia.
Officially introduced at Computex 2015, the ASUS ZenPad 8.0 features an 8-inch WXGA (1280×800) IPS display. The Malaysian set is apparently powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 quad-core processor and comes with 2GB of RAM as well as 16GB internal storage which can be expanded further through the usage of microSD card with capacities of up to 64GB.
Sharing plenty of it design traits with the ZenPad 7.0, the tablet is also built with 2-megapixels front camera and 8-megapixels rear camera. Not to forget, the LTE-enabled tablet comes with telephony capabilities and a non-removable 15.2 Wh battery. To learn more about it, head on to asus.com/my.
