Miss the “unsubscribe” button on Gmail? So do we, and it looks like Google is bringing the feature back. If you are sick and tired of being spammed with irrelevant emails, you can easily unsubscribe or even block the sender.
The features are available on Gmail for the web, and will be rolling out to Android devices over the next week. While most mailing lists comes with an unsubscribe button, some unscrupulous website will either ignore that or give an invalid link with their unsubscribe button. In such cases, you can now use Gmail’s unsubscribe button.
In addition to that, Google also introduced a Block feature that lets you block specific email addresses in Gmail. Future mails from the sender will go into the spam folder, but if you wish to unblock the sender, you may do so in the Settings menu.
These are not major changes, but they are significant for those of you who would like to regain control of your email account, especially when someone use your email to sign up for services, and now you’re being flooded with newsletters you have no interests in.
