As teasing it for quite some time, Alcatel OneTouch has finally unveiled its latest smartphone called Flash 2 just moments ago. Positioned as a smartphone for mobile photography, it is equipped with 13-megapixels Samsung S5K3M2 ISOCELL sensor on its rear camera which the company named as gSight.
Other than that, the gSight camera on Flash 2 also features 5-elements f/2.0 wide-angle lens, 0.3 seconds autofocus capability through phase detection, and dual LED flash. There’s also another autofocus camera on the front of Flash 2 that is called as Profie Cam that features a 5-megapixels OmniVision OV6548 sensor, f2.2 wide-angle lens, and soft light LED flash.
In terms of display, Alcatel OneTouch has chosen to equip Flash 2 with a 5-inch IPS display that has a resolution of 1280 x 720 and pixel density of 294 ppi. The processing power for the device is provided by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MTK6753 octa-core processor alongside 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. Flash 2 also supports microSD card with capacities of up to 128GB.
Comes standard with Android 5.1, the Flash 2 is also an LTE smartphone with dual SIM dual standby functionalities. Not to forget, it is also built with a 3,000 mAh battery which apparently able to provide up to 25 hours of 2G talk time, 5 hours of full HD video playback, and 25 days of standby time.
Alcatel OneTouch didn’t reveal the availability and pricing of Flash 2 during the launch event but it did mention that the new smartphone will receive its own Malaysian press launch on 15 October. Additionally, the company also confirmed that Flash 2 will be made available through Lazada Malaysia when the time comes.
