Just as promised, honor officially launches the honor 7 in Malaysia today. With a retail price of RM1,399, honor continues to price its devices competitively despite our weakening currency. For its asking price, the honor 7 offers plenty value for money.
It’s not often a flagship device retails at this price point, and just because the honor 7 is affordable doesn’t mean it’s not well-equipped. Under its hood is the company’s very own HiSilicon Kirin 935 octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (it seems like we won’t be getting the 64GBÂ variant), and a microSD card slot which supports cards up to 128GB.
Rounding out the specifications are a 5.2-inch 1920 x 1080 resolution IPS display, 20MP rear and 8MP front-facing shooters, dual 4G capability, and Emotion UI 3.1 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop. There’s also a fingerprint sensor placed on the back of the device, and based on our hands on with it, we were quite impressed by how quick it is.
The honor 7 will be available for pre-order on Vmall.my on 22nd September for RM1,399. It will be available in two colours: Mystery Gray and Fantasy Silver. It will officially go on sale on the 28th of September, and the first 1,000 buyers will receive a free 32GB microSD card. A RM50 voucher will also be given away to anyone who pre-orders the honor 7 before the 28th.
