The brand new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus preorder is already available in a handful of countries. The devices will be launched next Friday, 25 September 2015, and it looks like Apple is ready to help Android users switch over. The Cupertino company’s new “Move to iOS” app is now available for download on the Play Store.
Available right now, the app does just as it says – helps you move from Android to iOS. It can transfer things like your Camera Roll, Messages, Google Accounts, Contacts and Bookmarks. Sadly though, things like purchased apps or media, or media that is saved within apps will not be transferred.
Anyone here switching to the iPhone 6s/iPhone 6s Plus?
The app doesn’t rely on the Internet, which allows for a smoother and quicker process. Instead, it sets up a private Wi-Fi network and request a security code from the user, then migrate all data and “put it in the right places”. The app is compatible with all devices running on Android 4.0 KitKat and above.
Anyone here switching from an Android to an iOS device? Check out the Play Store to download the app so you can start using our new iOS device immediately.
