Since it was first announced to the world, Sony’s virtual reality effort has always been referred (even by the Japanese company itself) as Project Morpheus. Starting today, that will no longer be its name as Sony has officially renamed it as PlayStation VR during its Tokyo Games Show press conference today.
Apart from the new name, there is nothing really new to talk about though. That means, there is still no official release date or price tag for PlayStation VR at this moment other than the fact that it will be released sometime in the first half of 2016 as pointed by its official Japanese website as well as during its Game Developers Conference earlier this year.

However, Sony did list down a number of PlayStation VR demos that are available at its booth in TGS 2015 which also include Final Fantasy XIV Online and Hatsune Miku. We’ll do our best to check out at least one of them as we go through TGS 2015’s show floor for the next few days at Makuhari Messe in Chiba.
