If you are disappointed that Microsoft did not unveil new Windows 10 mobile devices during the last IFA 2015 in Germany, don’t be. The company has just started sending out invites to an event in New York on 6 October 2015 for new Windows 10 devices.
The event is scheduled for 10am EDT on 6 October 2015 – that’s 10pm on the same day for us. While Microsoft only mentioned it’s an event to share about Windows 10 devices, it is believed that the company will launched the much talked about Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL smartphones, along with a Surface Pro 4 and the next generation Microsoft Band.
We’ve seeing quite a number of rumours regarding the Lumia 950 and 950 XL. The devices are believed to be powered by a Snapdragon 808 processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage, and pack a 3000mAh battery on board, which supports the Qi wireless charging standard.
As for the Surface Pro 4, The Verge notes that there might not be drastic changes from the Surface Pro 3 in terms of design because the company said before that they want to keep the charging mechanism and overall form factor similar. However, they could make changes such as increasing the display resolution, or making the Windows 10 tablet slimmer and lighter than before.
Excited to see what Microsoft has got up its sleeves? 6 October 2015 is the date to mark on your calendar.
