Dell’s upcoming tablet, the XPS 12, has been leaked through several slides. Judging by the appearance of the PC, it looks remarkably similar to the Microsoft Surface lineup of tablets. It even features a standalone keyboard, a stylus, and what looks like a kickstand.
Appearance aside, the XPS 12 is very well-equipped. According to the leaked information, it will feature a 4K 3840 x 2160 resolution touch display, a Thunderbolt 3 port, up to 10 hours of battery life, an 8MP rear camera, and a 5MP front-facing shooter. Interestingly, the XPS 12 has an InfinityEdge display, which should be similar to the Dell XPS 13‘s almost borderless display.
Other than that, the XPS 12’s standalone keyboard is also backlit along with a Precision touchpad that “works flawlessly.” It will be interesting to see how the touchpad performs once the tablet is released, seeing how Windows devices have always had rather lacklustre touchpads.
Unfortunately, the processor powering the XPS 12 was not revealed in the leak. The amount of RAM and storage were not specified as well. With both this offering from Dell and the new Microsoft Surface Pro 4 set to be unveiled next month, consumers shopping for a Windows 10 machine will be spoilt for choice.
