We’ve seen quite a number of laptop + gaming dock combo from several manufacturers for the past few years such as Alienware and MSI but none of them were like what ASUS has just announced yesterday: a laptop + liquid cooling dock combo. Called GX700, what we are essentially looking here is a liquid cooled gaming laptop.
However, ASUS is keeping almost all the technical details behind the new GX700 under wraps at the moment though. We do know that the laptop has a 17-inch 4K display with G-SYNC capabilty, a 6th generation Intel Core mobile processor with unlocked clock speed, and unnamed GeForce GTX discrete graphics which some believe that it is a totally new GPU that has yet to be announced by NVIDIA.
Based on the photos of the GX700 on display at Berlin, one can spot several connectors located on the back and underneath the laptop which linked the laptop with the liquid cooling system that is housed within GX700 dock. The dock itself is officially called GX700 Hydro Overclocking System which pretty much revealed the whole purpose of GX700 elaborate setup.
Other than the majestic looking GX 700, ASUS has also announced another new gaming laptop in the form of G752. Featuring the new Armor Titanium and Plasma Copper color scheme as opposed to ROG’s usual black and red combo, it is also equipped with backlit anti-ghosting 30-key rollover which means that gamers will have no problem utilizing up to 30-keys at the same time.
The G752 also comes with a specially designed thermal solution that helps direct away dust from building up inside the gaming laptop. The firepower for the 17.3-inch G-SYNC laptop is provided by 6th generation Intel Core i7 processor, GeForce GTX 900M GPU, and up to 64 GB DDR4 memories. Users can expect to see the laptop later this year although the exact availability and pricing information for Malaysia are not know at the moment.
Alongside these new gaming laptops, ROG onslaught at IFA 2015 also features plenty of other products as well including the liquid cooled-ready GTX 980 Ti Poseidon graphics card, Shift PG348Q curved IPS display with G-SYNC, Maximus VIII Extreme/Assembly motherboard, and special edition G20 compact gaming desktop.
