The much awaited Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will be launched in Malaysia on 3 September. Samsung’s next generation flagship phablet was announced two weeks ago at the Samsung Unpacked event in New York City, bringing with it a substantial hardware upgrades and a brand new S Pen.
Powered by a homegrown Exynos 7420 processor, the Galaxy Note 5 features a 5.7-inch 2560 x 1440 resolution Super AMOLED display, 4GB of RAM, 32GB or 64GB of non-expandable storage, a 16MP rear camera, and a 5MP front-facing shooter. Most importantly, we had an opportunity to get a hands on with the Note 5 during the Samsung Unpacked event and discovered that the new features are more than just simple gimmicks.
The notice of the launch for the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 made no mention of the Galaxy S6 edge+, and it looks like the larger version of the curved display S6 edge is not appearing at the same time as the Note 5. What might be appearing is the keyboard cover for the Note 5. This particular accessory adds a full qwerty keyboard to the lower third of the Note 5, turning it into something resembling a BlackBerry device.
There’s no news on the pricing of the Note 5, but that is likely to be announced during the Malaysian launch.
[Update] We have just received the official invite that now includes the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+. It looks like both the new flagship devices will be at the launch. Which is great news for fans of Samsung devices.
