Seems like the folks at OPPO Malaysia has been quite busy even though they have just launched and released its new R7 series devices in Malaysia. Last week, the company teases another new smartphone which most likely to be a mid-range model called Mirror 5.
Even though the teaser masked the device but the image appeared to be similar with the marketing material that OPPO Indonesia has used on its official website for Mirror 5 which was just launched in the country for IDR 2,999,000 (RM 903) last week. Equipped with a 5-inch qHD (960 x 540) display, the new smartphone features a glass back with reflective diamond-like pattern that seems similar to R1x.
Apart from that, the Mirror 5 also comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB internal storage with support for microSD card of up to 128GB. Said to come pre-installed with ColorOS 2.1 which is based on Android 5.1, the smartphone also contains an 8-megapixels rear camera, 5-megapixels front camera, and 2,420 mAh battery.
Meanwhile, OPPO Malaysia has also announced that it has reduced the price of its Find 7 to RM 1,498 joining several other models such as R5, R1L, and Neo 5. First launched in Malaysia in 2014 alongside its lower-end sibling, the Find 7a, was previously priced at RM 1,798 and it is still the company’s highest end phone in terms of processor – Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 – despite its age.
