Rumours of an Android based BlackBerry device are picking up more steam, and this most recent leak of the BlackBerry Venice slider smartphone will definitely throw more oil on the fire. The renders appear to show a BlackBerry device that gives people precisely what they have been asking for all this while.
The BlackBerry Venice was first teased during MWC 2015, where a brief glimpse of a sliding phone was shown during the BlackBerry keynote. This was soon followed of increasing rumours of the Canadian company entering into talks with Google, with the potential for an BlackBerry device powered by Android appearing at some point.

These most recent images from @evleaks appear to show a BlackBerry device that also has a curved display; similar to that on the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge. Of course, this is also accompanied by the ability to slide a keyboard out from the back of the smartphone. Of course, the icing on the cake is what appears to be a vanilla Android 5.0 as well.

One of the gifs appears to show a 16MP rear camera, but the low quality of the image makes it very difficult to be sure of that number. However, @evleaks has also said that the BlackBerry Venice will be appearing all four major telcos in the US in November. This could mean that we could be seeing the device at around the same time, as BlackBerry has traditionally released phones around the same time in Southeast Asia.
@evleaks has been quite reliable about leaking devices, and we are more inclined that usual to believe this one. However, these are still rumours and BlackBerry could have something else in store for later this year.
