There’s no doubt that traditional watchmakers are pressured by the smartwatch market, several traditional watchmakers have already displayed interests in the technology and now, it’s Fossil’s turn. The company recently showed off three new “connected accessories”, including an Android Wear, that are all powered by Intel.
The wearables were unveiled at IDF (Intel Developer Forum) 2015. The company did not talk much about design or specifications, but looking at what they showed off at the event, the Android Wear device looks very similar to Motorola’s Moto 360, complete with a black bar at the bottom of the round display. The watch features a nice shiny silver finish, and uses a leather strap.
As for the other two products, one of it is a connected bracelet, and another is a connected watch that presumably has lesser features than the Android Wear.
Sadly though, if you were hoping to get your hands on one, the wearables are not available at the moment. The company says that all the products will be available by the holidays, and pricing and specs will be unveiled then.
Will you get a smartwatch from Fossil?
