Celcom recently added the Samsung Galaxy A8 and Galaxy J5 to its phone bundles. The telco is offering both devices from as low as RM688 and RM438 respectively when you sign up with a contract with its First postpaid plan.
Celcom is offering the Samsung Galaxy A8 and J5 with its Celcom First Basic 85 or First Elite plan tied to a 24 months contract.
The usual retail price of both the Samsung Galaxy A8 and Galaxy J5 are RM1,888 and RM799 respectively. Celcom’s bundle ties you up to a 24 months contract, and when you sign up for it, you will need to pay an upfront payment of RM250 and RM1,000 for Celcom First Basic 85 or Celcom First Elite plans.
Both devices were launched in Malaysia late last month. The Galaxy A8 is a premium mid-range smartphone featuring a large 5.7” Full HD display and is powered by an Exynos 5430 octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. It has a 16MP rear camera and a 5MP camera at the front, both of which as a large f/1.9 aperture for better low light performance. Other specs include LTE, NFC, 3050mAh battery, and runs on Android 5.1.1 out of the box.
As for the Galaxy J5, the device first made its debut in China in June, along with the Galaxy J7. Both are Samsung’s first smartphones to come with a front-facing LED flash to help take the perfect selfies. The Galaxy J5 features a 5” 720p display and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. Other specs include 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, dual-SIM, 2600mAh battery, and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
