As we approach closer to the end of the year, we’re getting a more detailed look at the much rumoured 2015 iteration of the Nexus 5. This time around, it came from none other than Marques Brownlee aka MKBHD. Appearing first in Nexus Indonesia Google+ community, this could be our first glance of LG’s new Nexus 5.
Unfortunately, we only have the back image of the alleged Nexus 5. It does, however, tell us more than a few things about the device. For one, there seems to be a fingerprint sensor underneath the (protruding) camera. This isn’t all that surprising considering how Google will be implementing a standardised fingerprint sensor API with Android M.
Apparently this is the new Nexus. Looks fine from this angle. Give us more, Mr Blurricam! pic.twitter.com/qmmvDDCZyY

Other than that, the device pictured seems to be a rather compact device. Seeing how it is rumoured to be a new version of the Nexus 5, its display size could be closer to 5 inches, although we doubt it would have the same 4.95-inch display of the original device.
Looking back at the image, what looks like a dual-tone LED flash along with a laser autofocus system can be seen beside the camera lens. Hopefully, this would mean that the camera performance of the 2015 Nexus 5 would be better than its predecessor.
Ultimately, as this image did not come from an official source, it’s best to be a little sceptical (although it does look very legitimate). What remains to be seen is whether or not the alleged 2015 Nexus 5 would continue the pricing strategy of its predecessor: high-end hardware at an affordable price point.
