Good news to Google Hangouts users, the company has finally updated its Android app, not only giving it a design overhaul, but also improvements like faster speed, and features that make it easier to reach out to people.
Google Hangouts 4.0 for Android now has finally been updated with Material Design, giving it a new look and feel. Google says items respond to your touch in more intuitive ways and transitions between tasks are more fluid.
It is also a lot more straightforward to use – the Compose button makes it easier to start a conversation between a friend or a group of friends, and sharing attachments, emoji and even GIFs has gotten a lot easier too.
“Whether you’re sending a quick message or video chatting with your family, you don’t want hold-ups. We’ve been obsessively fixing bugs and speeding up message delivery to make Hangouts faster and more reliable. Bonus: less battery consumption.”
The latest Google Hangouts 4.0 will be rolling out starting today in the Play Store. If you don’t see it yet (neither have we), wait a little longer, I’m sure it’ll be worth the wait.
