It is no secret that Samsung will be releasing a larger version of the Galaxy S6 edge, but what has been a surprise is this latest leak of a keyboard cover for the supposed Galaxy S6 edge+. It looks suspiciously similar to the Typo cover that was recently killed for infringing BlackBerry patents.
The original leak of the keyboard cover for the Galaxy S6 edge+ happened a couple of days ago, but it was recently brought back to light after a Dutch tech site noticed a listing on a local online retailer. Manufacturers rarely make their own keyboard covers, but it looks like Samsung is trying something different as it tries to recover from dropping profits.
While the idea resembles the Typo cover from Ryan Seacrest, this particular cover looks like it should be able to avoid any patent claims from BlackBerry. The keyboard layout is different enough from any BlackBerry device, and the additions of physical back, home and menu buttons will go along way to getting around any patent claims.
It looks like the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ keyboard cover will retail for 48 Euro. This should translate into about RM206, which is not cheap at all.
