Want to get a new iPhone, iPad or maybe even an Apple TV? You may want to hold onto your money for now because reports are now saying that Apple could announce new devices as soon as 9 September 2015.
According to John Paczkowski of BuzzFeed, Apple is planning to announce not only new iPhones on the date, but also some new iPads. The much awaited AppleTV, which was initially rumoured to be announced in WWDC earlier this year but didn’t make it, might make an appearance too.
Based on Apple’s trend for the past few years, the Cupertino company is likely to announce an iPhone 6s/6s Plus. The new iPhones will feature minimal changes on the design, maybe strengthening it to prevent the whole “bendgate” issue. Apple will be focusing more in the hardware, like better camera, bigger battery, faster processor, higher resolution displays, larger storage and such. Some of the rumours we’ve seen before for iPhone 6s includes Force Touch display, new NFC chip, and USB Type-C port.
Apple usually host a separate event in October to debut their iPads, but BuzzFeed is saying that Apple will be doing it in the same event as the iPhone. BuzzFeed also adds that Apple may launch the much-rumoured iPad Pro, a larger version of the iPad that sounds perfect with iOS 9’s new multitasking capability.
Finally, the Apple TV has been around for the longest time now, and Apple has been reported to be working on an update soon. BuzzFeed says that Apple will introduce a new Apple TV with redesigned interface, new remote, and support for App Store.
Excited to see what Apple has up its sleeves? If what Paczkowski says is correct, Apple should be sending out invites a week to two before the launch date.
