Paired with 3GB of RAM, the Tab S2 in Malaysia also features 32GB of internal storage – there’s also a microSD card slot that supports up to 128GB cards. Users also get 100GB of OneDrive cloud storage free for two years.
In addition, the Galaxy Tab S2 also pack a SIM card slot with LTE support, allowing users access to the Internet on the go. Besides that, there’s also an 8MP f/1.9 rear camera (without flash), and a 2.1MP front camera. The home button also packs an integrated fingerprint scanner for added security.
The 9.7-inch Tab S2 packs a large 5,870mAh battery and weighs just 392g, while the 8-inch version has an adequate 4,000mAh battery, while weighing 272g. Both tablets also have their own Book Cover Keyboard, which will be coming at a later date.
Both the Galaxy Tab S2 variants will be available in Malaysia from 14 August in three colours (Black, White and Gold), and will be priced at RM1,999 for the 9.7-inch version and RM1,699 for the 8-inch variant. All purchases will also be bundled with one year’s subscription to iflix, while Samsung’s new Milk Music service is also pre-installed.
